Like millions of others around the world, we watched in horror and dismay the events that unfolded on September 11, 2001. Many have asked if we were told prophetically about the terrorists attack on our nation. The answer is “YES” and “NO”. 

The answer is “YES” to the extent we have been receiving warnings from the Lord concerning terrorism in our nation and our great need for united intercession to combat these plans of the enemy. We will include a few excerpts from some of the prophetic articles that we have written which addressed this area specifically. (See below) 

My wife Wanda was told in a prophetic experience this past May to “go back to 1941.” At the time we were in a conference in Jacksonville FL and shared the word with the limited understanding we had. We shared with the attendees that it was a surprise attack on America at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 that united the nation and moved her to commit fully to the war and served as a catalyst to bring unity and greater dependence on God for our nation. 

While in Nashville, TN at another conference in 1998, Bob was warned by the Lord to call the people to prayer because of possible terrorism and the suitcase bombs in the possession of radical zealots. In 1999 he was told “fires of destruction” are coming to this nation fueled by an “east wind.” We now have more understanding of the east wind that sponsored the devastations. Yet, even with these clues and other warnings, nothing prepared us for what transpired on Sept. 11. 

Secondly, the answer is “NO” to the extent that no specific revelation was given concerning this date nor the details of the attack or the specific location. It seems as though this aspect of the event was hidden from the prophetic people with whom we are connected for a specific reason. 

It is difficult to imagine the unthinkable grief experienced by thousands of families across our nation. Nevertheless, this horrific event could be the very catalyst that will bring unity and a call to prayer and intercession for our nation and the need for the revelation of the CROSS spanning the breadth and width of our country. It can also re-enforce our position with Israel both in our national government and within the church. It further unveils the SPIRIT of hatred and violence that fuels the nations that rage against her. The ultimate battle is in the arena of the spirit. 

Throughout the history of Israel, we see similar events occurring in the nation that awakened her to the need for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It brought her to a place of humility and repentance. The Lord is able to take difficult chastening situations and turn them into fruitful lessons that will leave us in a greater position spiritually than we were in before. That is our prayer today. 

In the portion of the article shared below concerning the Lord’s heart for intercession, there is a great encouragement promising fresh expressions of renewal and revival emerging from the ashes of destruction. We must keep our eyes focused on the Lord and remain attentive to His heart of intercession and we will see these things unfold in the fullness of time.

EXCERPTS FROM PREVIOUS PROPHETIC ARTICLES...


FROM— THE LORD’S HEART FOR INTERCESSION (APRIL 1999)

When we agree with God by hearing and obeying, it becomes creative. Inclining our ear to the Lord and obeying His Voice and proclaiming it in agreement with Him produces creative faith. Bob also saw a national emergency requiring an executive order to be promulgated and enacted. A national calamity is at hand. This calamity may involve some in the highest level of government within our nation. The result of these events will precede a political mandate that could actually be the stepping stone to a season of martial law in our country. Bob then saw fire... fire... and more fire. Fire coming from the West, East, South and North. This represented both natural and spiritual fire. They are fires of destruction fueled by an East wind. He was then given Psalms 48:7: With the east wind Thou dost break the ships of Tarshish.

The winds are going to blow against the "ships of Tarshish", representing the leadership of the United States. The Lord has very often used Tarshih to symbolize this nation and its prophetic implications. "Ships" speak of leadership. The fire cannot be stopped. However, we are given the divine opportunity to intercede and prohibit all of these events from occurring simultaneously. Through intercession the "fires" can be staggered making it much more tolerable and manageable in prayer.

Many horrific events are being prepared to be released. Some of these events can be delayed so that one may be battled without the others also occurring at the same time. This will depend upon the intercessors. They will be able to extinguish portions of these fires as their prayers become heavenly "precipitation". The Lord told Bob that the fires cannot be stopped, however, we can prevent them from occurring all at one time and their effects can be curtailed. These are spiritual fires that will be verified by natural fires.

The Lord instructed Bob to announce to the church, "DO NOT FAINT AT THIS TIME FOR THE FIRES WILL LEAVE THE ASHES OF RENEWAL." These events are part of the preparation in righteousness necessary for the coming harvest. Beware when they say peace and prosperity for that is when sudden destruction will come. This describes our present condition. These events are directly related to the revelation of the Basilisk and the disruption this evil Spirit desires to bring to this nation, around the world, and especially against Israel.

In the Basilisk revelation, Bob saw this Spirit brooding over a nest of eggs. The Lord has given further insight concerning this aspect of the vision disclosing that there were seven eggs within this nest representing seven target points: The Balkans; Israel; IraqSyria; IranLibya; North Korea; China; and Africa. The eggs also represented seven types of devastation: terrorism; pestilence; famine; warpolitical upheaval; storms
atural disasters; earthquakes; and financial calamity.

He sent upon them His burning anger, fury, and indignation, and trouble, a band of destroying angels. (Ps. 78:49)

Each of these will have direct and indirect application to the United States. These events will be so powerful that it would be overwhelming if they all occurred simultaneously. Our grace is to pray that they are staggered so that one can be dealt with before moving to the next. It is the Lord’s desire that this nation survive. It is the enemy’s desire to destroy this nation and ultimately Israel. The judgments that are coming are for the purpose of establishing righteousness in our land so that the power of heaven can be released.

From the ashes shall come the "fires of renewal". We must be joined with the Lord through the intercession of His heart. The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. "Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it. "Woe to {the one} who quarrels with his maker-- an earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, 'What are you doing?' Or the thing you are making {say,} 'He has no hands'? "Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' Or to a woman, 'To what are you giving birth?'" Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, and you shall commit to me the work of My hands. (Isaiah 45:7-11)

These events were represented to Bob as "wildfires". In the vision Bob called for people to form a line to "pass the water bucket" in order to fight the fires. This represented our call to unified intercession to extinguish the effects of these coming fires.


FROM— THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS (Nov. 1998)

(Replacing the memorials and achievements of man with the image of the cross) 

The most important revelation then came at 4:58 a.m. Bob was taken to the pinnacle of a great building. The Holy Spirit extended something that appeared like a skyhook that lifted him in the Spirit, perhaps similar to the way that the Lord took Ezekiel. The Spirit wanted Bob to observe the activities taking place on the top of this great building. 

Bob was not actually on the building but elevated above it. Bob's attention was first directed to a notable statue mounted as a Memorial on this building. This monument had the attributes of an ancient God. At that moment a burst of fire, like lightning, descended against this Memorial with such fervent heat that it cracked and broke in several pieces. Then, following the fire came a great wind that blew against the remaining portions of the Memorial. The wind blew steadily against the statue eroding what the fire did not destroy. Following the wind came an earthquake with such violent trembling that the remaining portion of the Memorial that the fire and wind did not destroy fell from the building crashing to the ground.

This Memorial was a tribute to the accomplishments of man... The foolish pride of man acknowledging his own exploits creating an image to his own glory. This Memorial was the very essence of idolatry and the worship of false gods. The statue represented the deception of self-sufficiency and stiff-necked arrogance.

The Spirit then lowered Bob to the base of the platform previously holding the Memorial in its place. He was then given a great tool to extract the nuts and bolts holding the base in place so that even the foundation of this statute was removed. What would have seemed like a very difficult task became simple by using the implement provided by the Spirit.

Bob's attention was then directed to another skyhook that was transporting another Memorial to replace the previously destroyed one. This Memorial, however, was a great and glorious One. This image was in appearance very similar to the statue of the American flag being erected on the island of Iwo Jima, known as the "Iwo Jima Memorial". Instead of an American flag it was an image of the Cross being lifted up by 12 men each shielding his face so as not to presume to receive glory our acknowledgment for the Power and Glory of the Cross. Bob was then instructed to use the same implement that he used to dismantle the foundation of the previous Memorial to securely and permanently lock the Cross in its place.

These twelve humble soldiers represented the coming government of God that will lift up the Cross above all else bringing to the church the glorious reality and power of the redemption purchased on the Cross. There is coming to the church through God's government, the preaching and teaching of the Cross on a level not yet seen in this generation. The church has barely even touched the great redemption truths of the Cross that will prepare the Bride in perfection and Union with Christ. As in all wars, Liberty and Freedom comes with a price. These realities will be imparted to those willing to pay the price and allow the pruning of the Holy Spirit that we may know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

The primary responsibility of the apostles and prophets will be to securely fashion the foundation of the Cross in the hearts of the people through the demonstration of the Spirit and Power. This can only be done through the tools provided by the Holy Spirit. We are given the blueprint for this purpose through Psalms 27 imparting the reality of intimate relationship...Seeking and desiring one thing, that we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives that we may gaze upon His beauty and inquire in His temple.


FROM— SHEPHERD’S ROD 2001 (Atonement 2000)

Many times the Lord will allow us to go through seasons of difficulty and discipline in order to develop our spiritual character. However, the enemy will often times take advantage of those opportunities to try and afflict us and worsen the calamity. However, there is the promise of the Spirit to redeem and restore all that has been stolen so our latter condition would be greater than our former . Not only would spiritual character be developed but also the things stolen from us would be restored in multiplied fashion. We have an example of this principle through Israel. Thus says the LORD of hosts, "I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion. But I am very angry with the nations who are at ease; for while I was only a little angry, they furthered the disaster." Therefore, thus says the LORD, "I will return to Jerusalem with compassion; My house will be built in it," declares the LORD of hosts, "and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem."' Again, proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem."'" (Zech 1:14-17)

Likewise, the thief has also been incredibly successful in his pursuits because of a lack of knowledge by the corporate church in spiritual warfare and walking in our destiny. In either case, the Holy Spirit is releasing an anointing that will help us identify the realms giving access to the enemy so all avenues can be sealed and full restitution obtained.

The job of the righteous will be to redeem that which the enemy has stolen. We will especially be called to recover and heal those who have been wounded in the church. The “blind, lame and halt” are to be revitalized by those developing in righteousness, thereby retaking ground previously relented to the enemy. Even the gifts of the Spirit that have been stolen or perverted by the enemy will be redeemed during the coming year and years to follow. The righteous must begin to restore all of these things the enemy has successfully stolen or perverted within the church.

Pastors and leaders will find a special anointing and grace during the upcoming year to begin to reinstate those previously used by the Lord but who have withdrawn because of wounds they have sustained in their attempt to serve the Lord.
