The Source of Revelation

By Bob Jones and Paul Keith Davis

Recently the Lord has allowed us to see the things that have taken place in the second heaven. It has been apparent what the plans and operations of the evil one are. Now the Lord is going to allow us to begin to see His plans for this season of time. The world is big and fat like a plum...by this time next year it will look like a prune. Even as far back as 1975, the Lord has been stating that 1998 will be a pivotal year. The excess of the world will be consumed and the church will begin to emerge. The reference to the church applies to the remnant willing to be cleansed and sanctified.

1998 will see the beginning of the preparation for the return of God’s Glory. It will be a dark time in the world yet our hope is for the return of God’s great Glory. Even as it states in Revelations 3:20, the Lord stands at the door and knocks and to HIM who hears and opens the door to his heart, the Lord will dine with him. This is an individual commission and requires an individual response. It is imperative that we guard against doing so much FOR God, and that we start doing things WITH God. We must learn from the mistakes of the past. Many great leaders found themselves caught up in doing things for God and suddenly, they lost their sensitivity to the voice of the Spirit. They fell into the traps of the devil, virtually nullifying their anointed ministry. Our highest purpose is to have relationship with Him. Intimacy with the Lord is the essence of our purpose in creation and the highest purpose in the restoration of all things. To walk with God in the cool of the evening is still our highest aim. The earth is going to enter into a season of travail. The world systems will be powerless in responding to the needs that are about to be present in the earth. Even the diviners are prophesying essentially the same thing. When true prophetic people prophesy many of the coming activities, evil spirits follow those ministries in order to relay that prophetic information to the diviners so that they too can prophesy true events soon to occur in the earth.

Presently there is a tremendous release of revelation coming to the body of Christ from the second heaven. From the second heaven can come revelation initiated from the demonic. For example, a spirit of sorcery is currently being released intended to bring the church into disillusionment and discouragement. When people continue to seek revelation that comes from the second heaven, hopelessness is produced in their hearts. In reality they are really seeking the plans of Satan. Unless the true prophetic ministry brings revelation from the third heaven, from the presence of the Father, then this hopelessness surely would prevail. However, with true revelation from the Father, though judgement may be pending, there is always the hope of restoration, repentance and relationship with Him.

Revelation from the second heaven will always produce discontentment and cause a person to be dissatisfied with whatever condition they are in. We should be as the Apostle Paul when he stated that whatever condition he was in, he found himself content in Christ whether with plenty or without. Many people are leaving their own congregations, seeking ministry from what they perceive to be anointed men or women. The enemy has created discontentment in their own heart towards their pastor and likewise, has sold a delusion to the pastor causing him to think that he does not have the power to set his people free. That is a lie from the pit of hell. If a man is truly an anointed pastor placed in the body by God, then He will equip that man to feed the sheep and to set them free from the oppression of the evil one. The discontentment released from the second heaven is even causing people to drive all the way across the country to seek ministry in order to set their children free.

Sorcery is actually derived from a spirit of divining. This has allowed a tremendous release of the spirit of the diviners against the body of Christ. The Lord recently spoke that a large percentage of the divining against the Body of Christ is coming from the Unitarian Church. The Holy Spirit is indicating that the prevailing principalities with the authority for divining are presently releasing a strong spirit within the Unitarian Church creating delusion and discouragement against the Body of Christ. The revelation to us for this present hour is to simply to not trust all revelation, but screen it through the Word of God. In fact it would be the Lord’s highest purpose in this present time to let the Word of God be the source of our revelation. We should carefully screen and evaluate all revelation to make certain that it is not from the second heaven but actually from the Holy Spirit. Many people are making decisions based upon revelation they perceive is coming from the Holy Spirit. They perceive that it is the Holy Spirit because it is exactly the thing they desire to hear and do. In reality, it is the spirit of divining speaking to them the things that they desire not the things that the Spirit desires.

Bob recently had a vision of a man rising up with great power opposing the Church and creating considerable discouragement and disillusionment. Bob approached this man with his black suitcase in his hand filled with what he believed were the Shepherd’s Rods. While this man was speaking concerning a number of prophecies he had received through divining, Bob swung his briefcase at the man and hit him right between the eyes. The briefcase, filled with the “Shepherd’s Rod”, actually blinded the man so that he was unable to continue his divining and also unable to prophesy falsehood. The Spirit of Truth rendered the spirit of divining as powerless. Instead of his prophecies bringing numbness to us, the true prophecies brought numbness and a dull ear to him.
